Why Your Website Isn't Converting (Even Though It Looks Fine)

A gorgeous Canva template won't book you a single call if it's not actually asking for one. Here's what's usually missing.

I hear this a lot from coaches: "My site looks so aligned with my brand, I just don't understand why nobody's booking a call."

Nine times out of ten, it's not the aesthetic. The palette's soft, the fonts are pretty, the photos look professional. It's that the page never actually makes the case for working with you.

A beautiful coaching site that isn't converting is usually missing one of three things:

Proof that you get results, not just that you're passionate. Everyone's "passionate about helping women step into their power." That line means nothing to a stranger deciding whether to spend money with you. What means something is a specific before-and-after — even one line from a real client about what changed.

One clear next step. I still see coach websites with a "work with me" page, a freebie opt-in, a podcast link, and a shop, all competing for attention with no obvious priority. People don't hunt for the right button. If there isn't one clear thing to do, most of them do nothing.

A reason to book now instead of "someday." "Reach out if you're curious" isn't a call to action — it's an invitation to close the tab and forget about it. People need a nudge, not permission.

I learned this before I ever built a website, back when I was doing sales in network marketing — no fancy brand, just me convincing a stranger to trust me enough to say yes. A beautiful page and a page that sells are two different skills, and most coach sites have only ever had the first one built.

Where to start: Open your homepage and give yourself ten seconds. Could a stranger tell what transformation you offer, who it's for, and exactly what to click? If not, that's the fix — before you touch the colour palette again.
